We continue our march toward awesome kids' pajamas! But in the meantime, we would like to take a moment to reflect upon our plans to contribute a percent of every PJ Obsession sale to worthy education-related, not-for-profit organizations.

Our research has yielded many worthy organizations that represent the same values and mission of PJO, but there are a couple in particular that resonated with us the most:

PJO-Approved Educational, Not-for-Profit Organizations

Andy Roddick Foundation - The Andy Roddick Foundation, founded by the retired tennis player at the age of 17, is dedicated to providing quality after-school enrichment that Andy himself enjoyed to kids that don’t have the means or luxury of having enhanced educational and economic opportunities. Many of these kids can't afford or don’t have access to activities, sports and other types of entertainment outside of the classroom.

According to the Foundation, kids spend 80% of their time outside of the classroom-why not use it to continue their education and self-development? What a cool concept! Did we mention that that Andy and PJ Obsession share the same hometown of Austin, Texas?

And then, there's DonorsChoose.org. We like to think of this one as crowdfunding for classrooms across the U.S. DonorsChoose.org empowers teachers through its online platform, reaching thousands of donors eager to contribute to class projects and schools in need. Founded in 2000 by a history teacher with a need for greater access to books and materials, the organization has helped fund over 750K projects. With its impact, it has quickly become one of our favorite charitable organizations and gift ideas.

So...we think we have a good place to start for our (that's yours and PJO's) contributions when we start working together to clothe our kids in the best pajamas!
